Everything that is written below is an official press release. And I decided to publish this press release on my blog on StopGame, since for some reason the StopGame people themselves did not do this in the official news feed. Not on July 26, when Lineage 2 Legacy already received the “Pagan Temple” update. Not on August 2, when a similar update “Temple of Aztakan” was released for Lineage 2 Essence. Not on August 9, when the classic Lineage 2 was updated (the update is called “Age of Magic”). It seems to me that those who play one of these three versions of “Ruler” (or played, but temporarily abandoned) this news will be interesting.
This summer, fans of Lineage 2 will receive a luxurious gift – global updates to all three versions of the game: Lineage 2 Legacy, Lineage 2 Essense and the classic Lineage. The changes have affected almost all aspects of the gameplay, which means that players will find many new exciting adventures. It seems that the end of summer promises to be especially interesting!
Lineage 2 Legacy – Pagan Temple
Pagan Temple (session zone, boss – High Priestess), eight types of equipment and level 15 clans
• New session zone
The Pagan Temple is a mysterious and dangerous place where an epic boss lives, the demonic High Priestess of Tyrol Andreas Van Holter, who seized power by deception and killed all the Priests. Only players above level 85 will be able to challenge her and only on Fridays at 22:00. Defeating the priestess will not be easy: players will first have to fight through hordes of her followers before fighting Andreas. But the winners will receive new equipment and earn the glory of heroes who stopped the bloody temple rituals.
• New types of equipment
There will be eight of them in total – helmet, gauntlets, boots, shield and symbol of Protection, shield and symbol of Berserker, as well as Gran Cain’s pendant. Each item has its own characteristics – for example, boots will instantly remove all negative spells from the owner, a Protection shield will restore HP (health points), and the Protection symbol will silence the enemy. Almost all the equipment can be obtained in raids against bosses, but Gran Kain’s pendant can only be synthesized from the already known dragon pendant. This is the most powerful artifact: it makes the owner immune to the target, creating a shield around him, and also reduces the enemy’s defense to 40%.
• Clans level 15
Now the maximum clan level has been increased to level 15. Achieving it is not easy – to do this, all players will have to unite and diligently replenish the clan’s reputation. But the end justifies the means, because all members receive a powerful increase in characteristics – for example, +250 to attack and defense.
• Rewards for leveling up for the highest levels
It is useful to develop not only your clan, but also your character: the higher the level, the more significant rewards the hero will receive. For example, for reaching level 93 you can get a skill that allows you to reduce the time it takes to use teleportation, and for levels 94 and 95 you can get +1 point to all characteristics. There will also be valuable in-game items: players will be able to get a doll, a talisman or an eternal ring.
Lineage 2 Essence – Aztacan’s Temple

• New session zone
The temple of Aztakan is inhabited by humanoid lizards, so you can’t count on a warm welcome in this location: the leader of the lizards hates people because they once enslaved his people, which means he will take revenge by fighting to the death. You can get into the temple and fight treacherous humanoids from level 60. For completing tasks in this location, any player will receive materials to replenish the creation scale and a torch with experience. And victory over Aztakan will bring powerful in-game items to the clans – including the new Scepter of the Aztakan Oracle, which will certainly be useful to healers.
• New types of equipment
Items that give the player new skills further diversify battles. For example, the Berserker symbol will allow you to deal increased damage, and the Berserker shield will restore HP (health points). In addition, new gems will be added to the game, from which you can make a brooch: a ruby will make your attack more effective, and a diamond will make your defense more effective.
• New pet – Fox
After the update, one more will be added to the six existing pets – foxes. It can be obtained by successfully synthesizing Pet Necklaces or by killing the Grand Master Royda, who appears during the battle with the raid boss Beoro. The fox has a characteristic set of skills: for example, “Acceleration” allows you to quickly approach the enemy and attack him, and “Charisma” will make the opponent feel guilty for the attack and will temporarily reduce his attack parameters.
Lineage 2 – Age of Magic
New pets, reworked abilities for battle mages and summoners, Supremacy armor and secret locations
• New territories
Four new locations have appeared in the game, hidden inside daily session zones. For example, from the Fioren Crystal Prison you can get to the Frost Island, and in the Pantheon Museum players will find a passage to the Elven Forest. Secret territories are populated by unique monsters with higher characteristics and more valuable rewards. Characters level 120 and above can fight them.
• New features for mages and summoners
In the updated game, the skills of magicians and magical damage indicators were completely redesigned, which means that the wizards of Feo now have every chance of becoming the new kings on the battlefield. For example, Archmage Feo has a more powerful effect of the “Inflammation” debuff, and Master of Magic Feo with his “Frost Blast” will increase the cooldown time of skills for opponents.
Also, Venyo summoners received serious development of skills and new skills. Now the level of the creatures they summon will correspond to the level of the hero, which means they will become much stronger. The damage dealt and received by servants will also depend on the characteristics of the summoner.
• New types of equipment
R110 is no longer the maximum equipment rank in the game. The updated version has a new L-rank, and with it – Supremacy armor and Triforce weapons. It includes 14 types of combat items: from a two-handed sword to a bow, from a staff to a dagger. This weapon has some of the best performance in the game, and when “sharpened” at +4 it is endowed with special properties. To get the Trinity weapon, you need to upgrade the ultimate weapon of the serene rank R110.
The characteristics of the new Supremacy armor correspond to the new weapons. They live up to their name, having the best protective performance. There are three types of armor: magical, light and heavy. To get them, you need to upgrade the Ultimate Leviathan Armor of rank R110.
• New homunculi
The update will include three new homunculi (invisible companions that accompany the character and add strength to him) – Angel, Little Devil and Pegasus. The first boosts the player’s power, the second pumps up the character in terms of experience gained, and the third enhances the damage inflicted on the enemy. You can create a homunculus randomly using an hourglass or by donating time, blood and energy.
